Sea Breeze emerged on the Houston Jazz scene in 1985 at the Houston International Festival. A great many people including a number of music critics and jazz fans were surprised and delighted. Brisk, sharp, decidedly tantalizing, Sea Breeze embraces contemporary and traditional jazz idioms, captivating audiences of all ages.

The group is the brainchild of saxophonist Carl Progue and after it initial conception electric bassist Al Campbell, keyboardist Andrew Lienhard and guitarist Mike Sunjka were brought on board. In the mist of that initial meeting, these talented musicians created a jazz-based band that rivaled rock and pop groups for gigs in the Houston area. They have played the regional circuit and are always very well received. Their canny mix of material which accentuates their own originals appeals to jazz aficionados and non-jazz aficionados alike. In addition Sea Breeze has had sponsorships through Anheuser-Busch, G.H.S. String Co., Zildjian Cymbal Co., Fender Guitar and Ken Smith Basses.

In a city where only a handful of jazz bands survive, Sea Breeze has managed to flourish. Sea Breeze’s versatility and showmanship have made them a supreme jazz act in arenas, festivals, clubs, hotels and private affairs throughout the United States. Sea Breeze is a must see act.

Sea Breeze comes fully equipped to provide state of the art sound for any occasion to accommodate audiences from 30 to 3000. Just ask people like.....
